Susan Wood
Susan established Portfolio Review Services in 2001. She started her career in investment management at Barings (1981 to 1990) and subsequently worked at Mercury Asset Management (1990 to 1996), Saudi American Bank (1996 to 1998) and Alta Advisers Ltd (1998 to 2000). Susan specialised for 15 years in US equity markets and subsequently broadened her coverage to global portfolios. Director of MT General Funds ICVC and non-executive Director of Oldfield & Co. Governor of the City Literary Institute (2002 to 2006), and of St George’s College Weybridge (2006 to 2013), Trustee of the Tower Hill Trust and the College of Arms Trust. Member of the Advisory Committee of Charifaith (2007-2014). Susan was educated at Oxford University.
Lorna Stuttaford
Lorna joined Portfolio Review Services in 2003. She has 15 years’ experience in investment management at Mercury Asset Management/ Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (1986-2001), specialising in UK private clients and charities. She is a Trustee of the Hedley Foundation and ex-officio adviser to the finance sub-committee of the Girls’ Day Schools Trust. Lorna was educated at Bristol University.
Jeremy Wells
Jeremy joined Portfolio Review Services in January 2021. He started his investment management career in 1988 in Glasgow with Scottish Amicable Investment Managers, before moving to London in 1994 to work for PDFM and then Gartmore. From 1998 to 2012, Jeremy was a leading member of the charity team of JP Morgan Asset Management (initially Flemings), responsible for the investment process for institutional charity clients. From 2012 to 2018, Jeremy was the lead client director for charities at Newton Investment Management, where he launched the Newton Charity Investment Survey and a range of sustainable investment funds. From 2019 to 2020, Jeremy was Director of UK Business Development at Savills Investment Management. From 2001 to 2014, Jeremy was vice-chair of governors, chair of finance and chair of premises, of St Michael’s CofE Primary School in Highgate, London. Trustee of the Hampstead Wells and Campden Trust. He was educated at Oxford University.
Helena Vinnicombe
Helena joined Portfolio Review Services in March 2022. After starting her career at Deutsche Bank (1997- 1999) Helena spent 20 years as a private client fund manager at Smith & Williamson Investment Management, looking after a wide range of clients including families, charities and trusts. During her time at Smith & Williamson she also ran a number of family unit trusts and OEICs and chaired the Asset Allocation Committee. Having left Smith & Williamson in 2019, Helena is now a board member of the Lowland Investment Company and Lindsell Train Investment Trust and sits on the advisory committee of the M&G Charity Multi-Asset Fund. She is a Trustee of the Institute of Child Health, a joint venture between Great Ormand Street Hospital and University College London and a Governor for a local school – Aureus Primary School in Didcot. She was educated at Cambridge University.
